Help with your mortgage

Having your mortgage pre-approved gives you a much better chance of securing your dream home once you have found it. Our mortgage advisors can search the whole of the market for the best deal, and help you through the mortgage application process.

Getting on with your purchase

Once you have seen the property you want, it is very important that you contact us immediately. Any delay might result in you losing out to another buyer. We can help you finalise the details, including your mortgage and legal conveyancing arrangements. If you are a first time buyer, we will be on hand to help you and one of our sales team, who you will know by name, will be dealing personally with your purchase. If you are in a chain, we will help monitor progress as part of smoothing the transaction through for you. The solicitors who work alongside us in our Conveyancing Partnerships have all been selected for their high standards of customer service.

Completion of your purchase

This is the day when your solicitor transfers the purchase money to the seller’s solicitor – and you get the keys of your new home. The date is agreed between you and the seller through your solicitors. Now you can move in!

Exchange of contracts

When the solicitors have received all the information they need, including searches, title documents etc., they will ask you to sign the purchase contract. Your solicitor and your seller’s solicitor will then exchange contracts; from that moment, both you and the seller are committed to completing the transaction.

And If Something Should Go Wrong

Each year we sell, let and survey hundreds of properties and most of our clients are more than satisfied. But once in a while, we don’t quite get things right – we’re only human after all. Like you, we prefer to resolve any issues with you in an open and friendly way; but, if we can’t, we are happy to offer you free access to independent determination of your complaint. We can’t be fairer than that.
